1024
1024 extends the world height so builders can go far below the vanilla bottom by replacing bedrock with a new block, Reinforced Deepslate.
What it does
The mod raises the build height of the overworld from the vanilla range of -64 to 320 to -512 to 512. Bedrock is replaced with Reinforced Deepslate, so the lower layers can be dug through and built in. The author chose Reinforced Deepslate because it is a hard block that still matches the deepslate theme, and says an earlier plan using obsidian felt too plain.
Server owners install the mod on the server, and players need nothing on their side because the environment is server required with the client optional. Two optional dependencies, Pickaxe Effective Reinforced Deepslate and Silk Touch Reinforced Deepslate from PurpurPack, add tools that can break the new block. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt on 1.21 – 1.21.4, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Extended build height
The overworld build limit moves from -64 to 320 to -512 to 512, giving far more room for vertical builds.
Reinforced Deepslate bedrock
Bedrock is swapped for Reinforced Deepslate, which can be broken and allows digging below the original floor.
Patchable holes
Broken Reinforced Deepslate can be replaced, so holes dug into the lower layers can be sealed again.
Tools for the new block
Optional companion packs add a pickaxe and a silk touch variant so the reinforced block can be mined.

Use cases
Skyblock and parkour
Builders can make skyblock layouts or parkour courses that extend below the usual bedrock limit.
Deep underground builds
Players who want large underground bases or mines get extra depth below the old bottom of the world.
Who it’s for: Server owners and players who build tall or deep structures, or who want to dig under the vanilla bedrock layer. The server load is higher than on a vanilla world, which the author notes when suggesting a smaller world size for busy servers.
How it compares
Reinforced Deepslate Recipe is server required with the client optional and is published for 1.19 – 26.3, but it is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Remove Deepslate is server-side only and open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, with files for 1.19 – 1.21.1. Craftable bedrock is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
