Xibao-1.8.9 is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.8.9 that plays a meme sound and shows a notification when the player disconnects from a server.

What it does

When a player quits a server, the mod plays a themed meme track and displays a good news or bad news notice on screen, which is shown by default. The sound and text are part of the mod's joke content rather than a gameplay system. Only the client needs the mod, since it changes nothing on the server side.

Key features

  1. Disconnect sound

A meme track plays when the player leaves a server, sometimes paired with an exciting or sad piece of music.

  2. Notification banner

A good news or bad news message appears on the game screen when a disconnect occurs, with a default background.

  3. Unofficial remaster

An unofficial remaster of the original Xibao mod, built for Forge 1.8.9, is published as open source on GitHub.
