Wesley's Roguelike Dungeons

by magicwesley

Wesley's Roguelike Dungeons adds a set of procedurally structured dungeon crawlers that players enter from the overworld, nether and end, with a timer in the new dimension.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.16.5 – 1.20.1

What it does

The dungeons are mostly linear, with optional objectives that lead to bigger rewards. Loot is distributed through a key system: some chests stay locked until a player obtains a key from a special challenge. A dungeon ends in a boss fight against one of 12 regular dungeon bosses. Main dungeons come in 18 themes, including three biome climates (hot desert, cold icy and warm jungle) and six nether temperatures. A separate large end structure called the End Palace is added, along with a city inhabited by ender creatures and deep dank depths below.

The mod also introduces a dimension built around neverending dungeons, where a timer pushes players to gather as much loot as possible before it runs out. A modpack creator planning to use the mod can tune that timer in the config files. The mod needs Forge and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4 and 1.20.1, with 2.3.6 for 1.20.1 as the latest Forge file. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
