Waylite
by Devtyy
Waylite shows clean, world-space waypoint markers for locations players save, in a lightweight client-side mod for Fabric.
What it does
Waypoints are drawn in the world as simple markers that show an icon, a name and a distance above each location. A compass strip on the HUD places them by direction relative to the player, and players can pick between three different ways of drawing waypoints, from a traditional marker anchored to the position to a floating tag with configurable transparency, colored backgrounds and outlines.
Waylite replaces the waypoint screen with a redesigned interface for creating and editing waypoints. The waypoint manager offers search, distance-based sorting, colored icons, coordinates and dimension information, quick creation, and an option that adds the current position instantly. Visibility controls let players hide markers without deleting them, which keeps the screen readable when many waypoints sit close together.
The mod runs on the client alone, so servers and other players do not need it. It is published for Fabric across 8 release versions, 1.21.9 – 26.3, and the latest Fabric file is 1.0.2 for 1.21.10. Waylite is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Three display styles
Waypoints can be drawn as a traditional world-space marker, a compact style or a floating tag, so the look can be chosen per player.
Compass direction strip
Markers line up on a horizontal strip that shows where each location lies relative to the player's facing.
Waypoint search and sorting
The manager searches saved waypoints and sorts them by distance from the player.
Instant current position
A single action adds the player's current position as a waypoint without typing coordinates.
