What it does

WayFix fixes several problems that appear when Minecraft runs under Wayland. Its automatic GUI scaling adjusts the interface size to the display's scaling factor, so a 1920x1080 screen at 100% and a 3840x2160 screen at 200% each get a suitable scale. Startup can replace the default Wayland window icon with the Minecraft icon, and a select-monitor option lets the game open on a chosen display. The mod is recommended for use with glfw-wayland, and its monitor-related feature works only on KDE Plasma, through kdotool.

Key modifier handling is also corrected. Without the fix, key combinations such as CTRL + CTRL + C can send characters into chat instead of being recognized as shortcuts. WayFix needs Cloth Config API, and Mod Menu is optional for opening its settings from the mods list. The mod runs on the client only, so servers do not need it, and it is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with builds covering 1.16 – 1.21.11.
