Voice Commands

by Joshi203

Voice Commands lets a player speak in-game commands, so Minecraft can run them without touching the keyboard, as a Fabric client mod for 1.21.11.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.11

What it does

Speech is turned into text by a local Vosk engine, so recognition runs offline on the player's PC and the audio is not uploaded. Each spoken phrase can be linked to a command, such as teleporting home or changing the time, and the link is set up by the player. A built-in interface handles the triggers, which can be created in English or German.

Because the mod is client-side only, only the player's own installation needs it; a server does not have to run it. Voice Commands requires Fabric Loader 0.18.1, Fabric API and Java 21 or newer, and the latest build, 2.0.0 for 1.21.11, was published on 2026-09-25. The code is released under the MIT License, and the project is not open source. Its own notes warn that some servers may forbid it, and that voice-driven commands should be used with care.

Key features

  1. Offline speech recognition

The Vosk engine processes speech on the local machine, with no cloud account or internet connection required.

  2. Custom voice triggers

Players define their own spoken phrases and bind each one to a Minecraft command.

  3. English and German

Triggers can be written in either language, so the same setup works for speakers of both.

  4. Hands-free play

Commands for building, exploring and fighting can be issued by voice while the hands stay on the controls.

Use cases

Hands-free roleplay

Players who want immersion or accessibility can issue commands aloud instead of typing them in chat.

Streaming

Streamers and content creators can trigger game actions by voice while they talk to their audience.

Who it’s for: Players who want to control Minecraft by speech on their own machine, and players who need hands-free input for accessibility or comfort. Servers that restrict command use should be checked before the mod is used there.

How it compares

Voice Commands differs by running only on the client, for 1.21.11, under the MIT License, with a local offline speech engine. AutoExecutorMod is also client-side only and built for 1.21.11, but it is released under All rights reserved and does not use voice input.
