Villager's October
Villager's October is an adventure mod for Forge 1.19.2 that turns villages into Halloween celebrations with autumn decorations and costume-wearing villagers.
What it does
Villages generated by the mod are decorated for autumn, with scarecrows, garland and small floating ghast balloons. Some villages include a new house built around a giant pumpkin, and that is where a new type of villager can be found. Players are invited to join the celebration, which adds a Halloween experience to exploration in the 1.19.2 Minecraft Java Edition world.
Once darkness falls, the villagers ring their bells, and a player can knock on doors, choose one of three Halloween outfits, and receive sweets from the people living there. The villagers are shown looking forward to the celebration, so the event is meant to be part of normal play rather than a separate minigame. Required dependencies are LibX and SandBox, and both must be installed alongside the mod.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and the source code and issue tracker are publicly linked. The latest Forge file, 1.19.2-1.3, is for 1.19.2 and was released on 2022-11-16; the first publication date was 2022-10-01.
