ViaVersion Bug Fix is a server-side Fabric utility that prevents a crash tied to block-state particle effects when ViaVersion is used alongside Fabric API.
What it does
The mod targets a conflict between ViaVersion's packet forwarding and Fabric API's BlockStateParticleEffect, which could crash a server running ViaVersion. Starting with version 1.1, particles display normally again, including landing particles. Version 1.1 and later mods depend on it, so it must be installed on the server side with Fabric. Builds cover 1.21.10 – 26.2 and were created and tested on 1.21.10, 1.21.11 and 26.2. Only the server needs it, so players join without installing anything.
