Velorise Simple Map

by Velorise

Velorise Simple Map is a NeoForge minimap and fullscreen world map for Minecraft 1.21.1, with waypoints and a cave mapping mode.

NeoForgeClient or server, optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

The mod provides an exploration-focused world map and a minimap that blend into the normal game view. Pressing M opens a fullscreen map that can be dragged with the left mouse button and zoomed toward the cursor with the mouse wheel. A left click places or removes a temporary navigation pin, while a right click opens a context menu for creating waypoints, inspecting terrain information or teleporting where permitted. Waypoints are managed from a separate screen opened with U.

Simple Map works in singleplayer and on dedicated servers, and it handles the standard world as well as dimensions and blocks added by other mods. Most settings are changed in the in-game configuration screen. Server owners can set additional options in a server configuration file, including an optional Map Book system that restricts exploration to a progression path, and a cave mapping mode. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source.

Key features

  1. Fullscreen world map

A fullscreen map supports smooth panning and cursor-based zoom, so large areas can be inspected in one view.

  2. Waypoint manager

Waypoints are created from the right-click menu and listed in a manager screen opened with the U key.

  3. Cave mapping

A cave mode can be switched in the lower-left corner between Automatic, Layered, Full and Cave views.

  4. Optional Map Book

A server can enable a Map Book progression system that players may use for exploration, and it stays disabled by default.
