Unrelated Additions

by siasur

Unrelated Additions gathers blocks, items and tools that do not share a single theme, and the author plans to build connections between them over time.

What it does

Unrelated Additions started as a personal set of blocks, items and tools for a 1.19 world the author felt was missing content, and the set has since expanded past that first list. Its stated goal is to add many features found in older, unmaintained mods such as OpenBlocks, through the author's own interpretation rather than a copy. Additions include a Hammer and Spade tool, Tiny Charcoal, a Compressed Block, Cobbled Deepslate, Dirt, Sand and Red Sand variants, Granite, Diorite and Andesite, and an Angel Block.

The mod requires Bronze Ingots, which are crafted from a set of items the mod adds, and it requires fluid tanks as well. Both must be installed for the mod to load. Textures are still in development, and the author says that proper artwork depends on the project gaining traction.

Unrelated Additions is published for Forge only, for 1.19 – 1.19.2, with the latest file, 0.7.2-1.19.2, released on 2022-09-25 for 1.19.2. Client and server both need the mod, and the project is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so the source code is open source.

Cobbled Deepslate, Granite, Diorite, Andesite and dirt-and-sand variants are included as blocks.

  4. Compressed and special blocks

By now my goal is it to implement many features, from similar mods that are old and unmaintained (like OpenBlocks) - in my own…
