UniDict
by WanionCane
With UniDict, recipes and machines that use copper, tin, silver or lead can accept one shared item tag instead of a separate item from each mod.
What it does
UniDict is a unification mod for modpacks that combine several mods adding the same resources. Many mods each add their own copper, tin, silver or lead ingots, so a single progression can hold many equivalent items. Instead of writing separate scripts for every machine, UniDict standardizes the outputs of crafting table recipes and of machines from many mods, so one definition covers all of them. It also unifies ore generation, which keeps the world's ores consistent with the same tags.
UniDict depends on WanionLib and is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, so the source code is open source. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Forge only, and the latest one is 1.12.2-3.0.10, dated 2024-12-14. Builds exist for 1.7.10 and 1.12.2, with 1.12.2 as the current target.
Key features
Unified output recipes
Crafting table recipes and machine recipes from many mods produce one standardized item for each resource.
Machine support
Recipes for machines such as crushers, compressors, furnaces and centrifuges across many mods are covered.
Unified ore generation
Ore generation is unified, so the same resource behaves the same way throughout the world.
Integration with CraftTweaker
Where CraftTweaker is too slow to change every recipe by hand, UniDict applies the unification automatically.

What the author says
When we play modded Minecraft, several mods based on their progression add Copper, Tin, Silver, Lead... But since a lot of mods add these common resources, we start to have a lot of equivalent items. This "issue" could be solved manually through CraftTweaker, but since there are a lot of machines and resources, it…
