Tridents Drop Always changes the Drowned so that each one carrying a trident drops it when killed, instead of the vanilla small chance.

What it does

The mod is a server-side datapack change for the Drowned mob. Drowned that spawn holding a trident drop it with a 100% chance on death. In vanilla the drop chance is small, so the mod makes the trident a dependable reward for killing them. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus a data pack option, covering 1.21.6 – 26.2.

Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing it. The author notes that the change rewards waiting for Drowned to despawn instead of fighting them, especially early in a game, although fighting them is still dangerous. The code is MIT licensed and open source.
