TooManyOres

by nitg3n

TooManyOres puts ruby, serendibite, jeremevite, citrine and red diamond ores into the world, with matching armor and tools for each.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.19.4 – 1.21.1

What it does

Each ore is placed in a distinct generation context. Rubies and serendibites are found in deep caves, jeremevites in caves, citrines inside amethyst geodes, and red diamonds in a red diamond temple. Players gather the ores by mining them where they generate, then smelt and craft the materials into equipment.

Ruby and red diamond sets include helmets, chestplates, leggings and boots, plus a sword, pickaxe, axe, hoe and shovel for each material. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Builds are published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.19.4, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under the MIT License. The mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Five ore types

Rubies, serendibites, jeremevites, citrines and red diamonds each generate in their own cave, geode or temple.

  2. Ruby equipment

Ruby helmets, chestplates, leggings and boots can be crafted, along with a ruby sword, pickaxe, axe, hoe and shovel.

  3. Red diamond equipment

Red diamond armor and tools follow the same pattern, so a full set of each material is available by the late game.

  4. Ore and gear content

The mod bundles ores, armor and tools together, so its materials are used for both progression and building.

Use cases

Exploring deep caves

Players who explore underground areas can find rubies and serendibites in the deep cave layers.

Crafting a full armor set

A player who collects enough ruby or red diamond can build a complete set of armor and tools from one material.

Who it’s for: Players who want new ores and equipment added to a survival world, and server owners who want the same materials available to everyone on their server.
