Tooltip Scaler
by Altimor
Tooltip Scaler keeps oversized item tooltips on screen by rescaling them when they would otherwise run off the edge.
What it does
When a tooltip is taller or wider than the window allows, the mod shrinks it so the full text stays visible. The author built it for modpacks whose dynamically generated tooltips run long, and tested larger GUI scales with Craft Exile 2. It runs on the client alone, so servers do not need it. Builds exist for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6 on Forge, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Rescaled tooltips
Tooltips that exceed the screen are rescaled so their full contents remain readable without being cut off.
Round-down GUI scale option
An option rounds the integer GUI scale down, which keeps the interface crisp at larger settings.
Long generated tooltips
Tooltips produced by modpacks with many long, generated entries are scaled down to fit the window.
