Toffy's Hooks is a small Fabric transportation mod that adds a grappling hook and other hook-based equipment to the game.
What it does
The grappling hook lets a player swing across gaps and up to ledges, with movement similar to a web-slinging hero and the same kind of rope pull seen in certain lashing mechanics. Hooks also serve as an ingredient in the crafting of other items, so the mod ties its equipment into regular recipes rather than standing apart from them.
Other pieces extend movement and mining. Climbing Claws let a player climb walls in the manner of the Terraria mechanic, Ice Skates make surfaces noticeably more slippery, and the Hookaxe works as a multitool whose mining speed matches the iron version of the tool. Hookaxe and multitool functions do not respond to right-click actions.
The mod runs on the client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric only, in eight release versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, with 2.2.2 for 1.21.1 as the latest file. The code is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, so it is open source and the source code is public.
