Tick Stasis

Tick Stasis lets a Fabric server owner pause the game world on a dedicated server while players stay connected and keep their session.
What it does
When the pause is active, the server stops advancing the game world: in-game time is frozen, block updates and most world processes stop, and entities no longer tick. Players remain online and can still join, and commands can be entered in the server console, so administration continues while the world is halted.
The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. Its release notes describe server CPU usage falling to near zero once the pause holds. Tick Stasis is published for Fabric across 33 release versions, 1.14 – 1.21.1, with snapshot builds included. The code is open source under the MIT License.
