What it does
Thero's Wilds is a wilderness mod that adds a set of new animals and plants to the Overworld. The additions include the African Penguin, Army Ant, Black Rufous Elephant Shrew, Cave Fish, Cookiecutter Shark and Driver Ant, so the vanilla animal roster grows with species that are not otherwise in the game. New plants generate across the wilds, giving biomes a more varied look and more things to find while exploring.
The mod suits players who want more life in a freshly generated world, and it can be added to a single-player save or a server. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. The code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved, and the latest NeoForge file, 1.2.7.1, was published on 2026-06-02 for 1.21.1 only.
