The Silence is a NeoForge adventure mod in which a shadow entity watches the player across several in-game days, escalating through six phases.
What it does
The shadow entity stalks the player across multiple game days and moves through six phases of escalation. The world changes as the story progresses: corruption spreads wherever the shadow stands, and a dramatic blackout event permanently alters the world. Indoor behavior shifts after the later phases.
Both the server and every player need the mod, because the entity and its effects run on the server side. The mod targets NeoForge for 1.21.1 only, with a single beta file, 0.1.0, published 2026-05-09. The code is under All rights reserved and is not open source. The mod works with Iris Shaders.
