The NoFog Mod
by Dillon8775
Fog in the distance hides the horizon, and The NoFog Mod turns that Minecraft fog off on the client, for players who want an unobstructed view.
What it does
On the client, the mod removes the fog that Minecraft draws over distant terrain, so the far view stays clear. It is client-side only, so the server does not need it and players join without changes on their end beyond installing it. Fabric API is required, and builds exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 27 release versions, 1.19.2 – 26.3, with snapshot builds published.
Key features
Clear distant terrain
The fog that normally blends distant chunks into the sky is removed, so hills and structures stay visible at the render distance.
Hills and structures in view
Distant landforms and buildings keep their outlines instead of fading into a haze at the edge of the render distance.
Vanilla fog left intact
The change targets the fog that Minecraft draws over terrain and leaves the rest of the world rendering unchanged.
