With The Gold Rush installed, gold turns up in river beds and ocean floors, and a new Golden Golem joins the mobs that fight zombies, skeletons and spiders.
What it does
Gold can be found in rivers and underwater, where sand holds gold that drops only when broken with a shovel, including wooden shovels. Breaking it yields new ore drops: golden nuggets, golden ingots, raw gold and a gold sheet. The gold sheet is a flat item with a golden texture, crafted from a horizontal row of golden nuggets.
Those materials feed a set of golden blocks: golden bricks with stairs and slabs, and chiseled golden bricks made from a chiseled brick recipe that excludes nether bricks. Golden glass and golden glass panes are crafted in a similar way from a golden plate. The Golden Golem is a craftable robot that helps defeat zombies, skeletons and spiders. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it is released under All rights reserved, which means it is not open source. It is published for Forge, with a single version: 2.0.0 for 1.20.1.
