TabManager
by Tobiazsh
TabManager lets a player rearrange the creative inventory, moving, hiding and re-iconing its tabs through an in-game screen.
What it does
Creative tabs can be reorganised from a single screen: items are moved between tabs, hidden when they clutter a tab, and tabs can be given custom icons. Filters match items by regular expression or glob pattern, so a whole group of items can be removed from a tab at once. Pages can be added to the creative inventory, which gives a separate page for a tab that would otherwise overflow.
Several configurations can be saved and switched between without restarting the game, and saved ones can be loaded in the middle of play. A player who wants a tab with no specific contents can build one this way, while other tabs stay as they were. TabManager requires oωo (owo-lib) as a dependency, and Fabric Loader must be installed. The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it. It is published for Fabric across two release versions, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code is open source.
Key features
Tab reorganisation
Items can be moved between creative tabs, and tabs can be reordered to match how the player wants to browse.
Hiding and filtering items
Items are removed from view with regex or glob filters, so unwanted entries no longer crowd a tab.
Custom tab icons
Each creative tab can be given a different icon chosen from the items the player has.
Saved configurations
Several layouts can be stored, exported and switched between from the in-game screen.
Extra pages
Additional pages can be added to a tab, so a long list of items does not have to fit on one page.

Use cases
Clearing a crowded tab
A player hides mod items they never use, leaving only the blocks they build with on the building tab.
Separate working layouts
One saved configuration suits survival and another suits building, and the player switches between them as needed.
Who it’s for: Players who use the creative inventory often and want to keep it tidy, and players who build with a fixed set of items.
