Subject Three: Sweet Dreams
Sweet Dreams lets players ride beds as vehicles, with bed boats and bed minecarts that can be slept in and set as spawn points.
What it does
Bed boats and bed minecarts work much like beds: a player who rides one can sleep in it, and the vehicle can set a spawn point. After a death, the player respawns at that point and can then find the bed vehicle again by riding back to it. A bed vehicle cannot be used to skip the night.
Bed vehicles are also chunk loaders, keeping their chunk force loaded so they stay active while the player is far away. Some players use this for long-distance transport of other mobs such as villagers, pigs and zombified piglins. The mod is published for Forge only, with builds for 1.12.2 and 1.16.5 – 1.20.1. The server and every player need the mod installed. It is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
