StepItUp lets the player walk up one-block ledges smoothly, in place of the Auto Jump setting.

What it does

The mod changes how the player climbs a single block: instead of jumping, the character rises smoothly onto the step. The behavior replaces the Auto Jump option and runs only on the player's own game, so no server needs it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and the latest release targets 26.2.

The settings can be changed through Mod Menu while the game is running, without a restart. Cloth Config API and Fabric API are required on Fabric, and the mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, which is open source.

Step Up blocks smoothly instead of Auto Jump. Simple and fast mod. Config file is at config/stepitup.json5 in your Minecraft game folder. You can enable/disable the Step Up feature, and enable/disable it when sneaking (requires restarting game to take effect).
