Spiders make webs is a Forge mobs mod that makes spiders place web blocks while they attack.

What it does

Spiders come with a web attack. When a spider sets its attack target, it can make a web in the target's direction, and each web attack is limited by a short cooldown. Webs can be burned away by a fire source, so a counter to the mechanic exists in play. The mod is set up to work alongside Spiders Sensing Nyfs Spiders.

The mod is Forge only and runs for Minecraft 1.20.1. It needs to be installed on both the client and the server. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

  1. Web placement

    Spiders place web blocks in the direction of their target, adding a ranged element to their attacks.

  2. Attack cooldown

    Each web attack is limited by a short cooldown, so spiders do not spam webs.

  3. Fire counter

    Webs can be burned by fire, giving players a way to clear the webs spiders leave behind.
