Soulbound Gravestones

by ignaciiodx

Soulbound Gravestones is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that adds a soulbound gravestone key, which lets a player teleport back to the most recent gravestone after dying.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21 – 1.21.1

What it does

Teleporting to the newest gravestone requires holding the charge key on the right mouse button for a delay the server owner sets, while particles and sounds play. The key cannot be dropped or thrown away, and it is bound to the player's soul, so it returns after a death.

Each gravestone is stored in a history of the last 20 entries with its data. A GUI lists that history, and clicking an entry previews the gravestone contents and its spawn restore location. Opening a gravestone applies a Gravestone Curse that slows the player and applies blindness, while a resistance effect helps avoid being killed repeatedly by one gravestone.

The mod is an enhanced fork of Gravestones by Pneumono_, and it keeps the original configuration options and default behavior, including gravestones that decay over subsequent deaths. It adds Accessories integration so accessory items are stored in gravestones. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. It is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric for 1.21 and 1.21.1.
