SolarGeneration
by Edivad99
Players who need power early in a world can place a Solar Panel and watch it charge their machines, and SolarGeneration adds a range of such panels in ascending tiers.
What it does
SolarGeneration adds solar panels and matching solar helmets that generate Forge Energy (FE) from sunlight. Each tier produces more power: the basic panels output 1 FE/t and 2 FE/t, while the later tiers reach 8 FE/t, 16 FE/t, 64 FE/t, 128 FE/t, 512 FE/t, 4.096 FE/t, 8.192 FE/t, 32.768 FE/t and 65.536 FE/t. Helmets charge from the sun while worn, so the energy can recharge items in the inventory.
The mod requires EdivadLib on both the client and the server. Files cover Forge and NeoForge across 12 release versions, 1.19.2 – 26.3, and the environment is client and server, so every player on a server that runs it needs the mod too. The code is under a custom license that is not open source, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
Crafting uses ingots and metal nuggets such as steel, lead, invar, electrum, signalum, enderium, lumium and platinum. The author notes that recipes rely on the ore dictionary, so other mods that register those minerals can make the crafting possible. The author recommends installing OreLibrary by 00theblackwolf00 for the ores needed for crafting.
