The Smile Man

The Smile Man is a horror world generation mod for Forge 1.20.1. It spawns the Smile Man in forests, plains, taigas and similar biomes, where he stalks players mainly during the night, which gives them time to act before he reaches them. The mod adds custom items he offers, including a Dark Ingot, a Dark Stick, a Dark Sword and a Dark Emerald.

The story is carried by several characters. Camper Tom builds his own campsite and works to expose the sinister history of the Smile Man, eventually learning that his real name is Victor. Noah Reed runs a watchtower for the whole game and helps Camper Tom. The Lost Villager spawns only in the End, in his own house on the End islands, and appears after the Ender Dragon is defeated. The Lost One spawns only in the Nether as a boss with its own boss bar and tries to attack the Smile Man, since both hate each other and share a trait that makes the Lost Villager and Camper Tom, Noah Reed and the player their target.

Only the server needs it, and players join without installing anything. The mod is published for Forge 1.20.1 only, with the latest file dated 2025-02-01. It is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
