Smart Copper Golem changes how Copper Golems choose where to carry items, giving them a memory of containers and items on Fabric for 1.21.11.
What it does
Smart Copper Golem reworks the vanilla pathfinding of Copper Golems so each golem keeps long-term memory of chests and the item types stored in them. When picking up items, a golem prefers containers it already knows and takes items that match what those containers hold. Golems can also share what they remember with other golems, which speeds up collective learning across a storage setup.
The mod extends what golems can open, including barrels and shulker boxes, and adds a Similar Items matching mode that lets golems place items of similar kinds into the same chest, such as wool of different colors or anvils with different damage levels. Some core parameters can be changed through a config file. The mod limits each trip to a few items moved between two chests with a plain route, and golems no longer cycle aimlessly through targets. Fabric is the only loader with files.

Copper Golems are able to open barrels and shulker boxes in addition to chests.
Interaction-range priority
Containers within interaction range are preferred, which suits compact storage builds.
Endless loop prevention
When an item cannot be inserted into a target, the golem stops retrying that destination instead of looping forever.

Mojang has been extremely cautious when it comes to "benefiting players," and the Copper Golem is a prime example. They were designed to move only a very small number of items from one chest to another with a simple traversal. Once they encounter an item that cannot be inserted, they can fall into an endless loop.
