Simple FPS Overlay shows the current frame rate on screen in a draggable box that players can place anywhere in the HUD.

What it does

The overlay displays the current FPS counter during play. Players can drag it to any spot on the screen, and a toggle can add the minimum, average and maximum FPS next to the live value, so the recent range is visible without a separate screen.

Text color and the background box can be adjusted. The number changes color with performance, and a dedicated opacity slider controls the box. Three display styles are offered: a plain reading, a bracketed form and a compact FPS label, each with a text scale from 50% to 500% of the original size.

Installation requires Fabric and Cloth Config API. The mod is client-side only, so the server does not need it and players can join servers without installing it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with files across 12 release versions. The latest file, 1.0.0, targets 1.21.11.
