Silly Critters
Silly Critters adds a set of new creatures to the Minecraft overworld, including a giant dodo, a sea dog, a biped salamander and walking jellyfish, each with its own traits and drops.
What it does
Each creature is based on an odd idea: a giant bird that went extinct in the world's past and once lived in warm biomes, a fish whose scales are rare in gold, a predator that shares traits with wolves, and a jellyfish that moved onto land after years of evolution. Several of them can be tamed, and tamed creatures take on roles such as carrying items or joining battles.
Taming and breeding are central. Eggs can be found in nests and hatched, and some creatures are attracted by food such as sweet meat, donuts or fried oddnanas. Items are also dropped by creatures and found in structures spread through the world, and the mod adds a guide crafted from a dodo feather and a hyraceum book that collects information on the content.
Silly Critters needs Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 and requires GeckoLib to run. The server and every player need the mod installed. The mod is still in development, and the author is still finishing the guide, so some information is not complete yet.
