Shroud adds a sculk-corrupted dimension reached through a portal in the Ancient City, opened with an echo shard in an existing frame.
What it does
The mod introduces a new dimension called Shroud, which is consumed by sculk and corruption. Travel runs between the Overworld and Shroud through a portal that is ripped open by right-clicking an echo shard anywhere inside a pre-existing portal frame. Sculk veins have to be cleared from the frame first, or the portal will not light.
Shroud contains biomes, custom trees and plants, and world generation features with a heavy sculk presence. Its own entities can be found there, along with a custom ore called Eventide. Shroud's crafted weapons, tools and armor are slightly better than netherite. A ritual, built from a corrupted reliquary and pedestals, lures a living mob and traps it, and the mobs required for a successful ritual are listed in the in-game guide. Shroud is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1, released under the MIT License, and it is not open source. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.
