Sculk Muffler

by KhloeLeclair

Sculk Muffler is a single configurable block that silences sounds and vibrations within a set area in front of it, for players who want quieter machines or farms.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

Placed in a world, the block mutes the sounds and sculk vibrations that fall inside its configured range. The range can be lowered so sounds are only turned down, or set to mute them entirely. A redstone signal can switch the block off, so its effect can be toggled from a circuit. The mod was developed in the spirit of earlier mods that added similar blocks, and it is open source under the MIT License.

Sculk Muffler requires Geckolib, which must be installed alongside it. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1, with 1.2.0 as the latest file from 2025-09-15, and the first release dates from 2025-07-16.

Key features

  1. Configurable range

The muffling area is set by the block's configuration, so it can cover a small room or a larger farm.

  2. Full mute or partial volume

Sounds inside the area can be turned down or removed entirely, depending on how the block is set.

  3. Redstone control

A redstone signal disables the block, letting players switch the muffling on and off from a circuit.

  4. Advanced upgrade

An advanced version adds filtering of specific sounds, and a containment mode lets only selected sounds play inside the area.
