Script's Chunk Loaders
by scriptcoded
Script's Chunk Loaders lets a minecart with a redstone-powered loader keep chunks around it loaded, so items can travel between distant bases.
What it does
A chunk loader minecart is built from a dispenser pattern that turns a powered minecart into a loader. Once active, the 3x3 chunks around it stay loaded wherever it sits in the world, without any player nearby. Approaching unloaded chunks triggers a temporary force-load that releases again afterward. Power the minecart again to disable it, and a glowstone or shroomlight swap in the pattern makes it always enabled, while a magma block makes it always disabled.
The mod is a Fabric server-side addition that players do not need to install. A server running it keeps the vanilla client experience, so it suits servers that do not want to require extra mods. It also works in single-player. Fabric API is required. The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published for 1.19.4 – 26.3, with 0.12.0 for 26.3 as the latest Fabric file.
Key features
Redstone-powered loader
A minecart becomes a chunk loader when powered from the front, and unpowering it turns the loading off again.
Dispenser-built creator
A dispenser pattern creates the chunk loader minecart, and its first inventory item renamed to chunk loader serves as the input.
Always-on and always-off blocks
Replacing glowstone with shroomlight keeps the loader permanently active, and a magma block keeps it permanently disabled.
Temporary forced loading
Approaching unloaded chunks force-loads them for a short time, so a route can cross areas no player is in.

Use cases
Item transport between bases
Items sent by minecart can keep moving through unloaded areas, where normally the cart would stop when no player is near.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want chunk-loading minecarts without requiring players to install a client mod, and players running item routes between distant bases.
How it compares
CartLoader is also a Fabric server-side mod, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, with files for 1.20.4. MinecartsLoadChunks is server-side only too, open source under the MIT License, and covers 1.21.4 – 1.21.7. BlockCarts is a client and server mod under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, not open source, for 1.21.5.
