Ruby Mod, by Nicusha, adds new ores to world generation, including rubies found fairly common between y=8 and deeper levels.
What it does
The mod adds several new ores that generate in the world. Some of them, such as Amethyst and Braunite, require mining close to bedrock to find. Opal generates fairly high in the world, while rubies are common between y=8 and below. Meteorite structures appear occasionally in the sky and fall to the ground, giving a chance to find rare material early. The ores come with their own tools, weapons and armour sets. Ruby Mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Forge and NeoForge across 29 release versions, 1.12.1 – 26.3, and is not open source; the code is under All rights reserved.
