With Retro64, players can run Super Mario 64 inside a Minecraft world, switching between the game and Minecraft on demand.
What it does
Retro64 is a Fabric port of the Retro64 mod by dylanpdx, and the port is 99% the original work with some minor conversions made with permission. It brings the 1996 platformer into a modern Minecraft world, and players can toggle between Minecraft and the Retro64 mode with the Z key. The M key opens a character selection menu where the player picks a character, and the Left Alt key is used for that selection as well.
Running the game requires a Super Mario 64 ROM, which the author text explains how to obtain, and Fabric API must be present for the Fabric build. The mod is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and its source code is public. It is designed for client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it has been published for 1.19 only, with the latest file 0.1.0 dated 2022-08-22.
