Reinforced Upgrade

by xCorrupter

Reinforced Upgrade adds a second Netherite-style upgrade path to the Diamond armor and tool set, reached through Ancient City exploration in Minecraft's world generation.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20 – 1.20.1

What it does

Once a player arrives at an Ancient City and obtains the mod's content, the mod gives two choices for upgrading Diamond gear. The two upgrade types share the same shape and attributes, and differ only in how much they cost to craft and in whether the resulting gear resists fire. The Smithing Template needed for the upgrade is required, and the Hardened Diamond set does not require the vanilla Smithing Template type to be achieved first.

The mod adds new materials, armor and weapon types, new blocks and a new wood type. Its new structures contain Ancient City loot, and the Sculk Shriekers, Sensors and Catalysts are part of the added content. A new biome appears where Sculk has spread underground to the surface. Requires Ranged Weapon API and TerraBlender, and Better Combat is optional. Released for Fabric only, with files for 1.20 and 1.20.1 and the latest build 1.3.6-1.20.1 for 1.20.1, published 2024-08-26.

Key features

  1. Two upgrade paths

Diamond gear can be upgraded along one of two paths, letting players choose the route that fits their build.

  2. Ancient City progression

Placing a Sculk Catalyst near the start sends players to explore Ancient Cities, where the new items become reachable.

  3. Villager trades

Librarian villagers trade Forgotten Schematics at a higher level, and Sleepless Villagers trade two or three of them each.

  4. New structures and biome

New small structures carry Ancient City loot, and a biome shows Sculk that has risen from underground to the surface.
