Raw Mouse Input - Blessed Edition
Raw Mouse Input - Blessed Edition is a Forge utility that reads the mouse directly from the operating system, aimed at smoother pointer movement on Minecraft 1.12.2.
What it does
Minecraft 1.12.2 normally processes mouse movement through its own pipeline, which can produce jitter. This mod lets the game capture raw mouse input instead, so pointer motion follows the hardware more closely. The author notes that some GUIs, such as the Astral Sorcery Observatory screen, did not respond properly with raw input active, and this edition is a fork that adds an automatic switch to address that.
The switch is controlled by a configuration file named rawinput.cfg. When the config is set, raw input disables itself while a GUI is open and returns as soon as the GUI is closed, so normal manual control commands keep working. Raw input is only used on Windows, and on other operating systems the fork detects the platform and turns off the whole function to avoid breaking mouse input. The mod is a client-side utility with no server component, and it depends on Forge for 1.12.2.
Key features
Raw mouse capture
Minecraft reads mouse movement straight from the device instead of the default processing path.
Automatic GUI handling
Raw input turns itself off while a GUI is open and turns back on when the GUI closes.
Config-driven switch
The rawinput.cfg file sets when the automatic switch is active and lets players force the mode on.
Windows-only operation
Raw input is used on Windows only, and other systems keep the default input path without changes.

How it compares
Raw Input - Legacy covers 1.9 – 1.11.2 with Forge and is open source under the MIT License. OldInput covers 1.8.9 – 1.12.2 with Forge, is also client-side only and is open source under the MIT License, so it overlaps with this mod on the same version. Mouse Buttons Close Inventory is a Forge client mod for 1.18.2 – 1.19.4, also open source under the MIT License, and it works on a different range of versions.
