Press2Hold lets a player latch a key so its input keeps repeating until the same key is pressed again, a client-side Fabric utility.

What it does

When a keybind is latched, the game keeps replaying its press without the key being held down, and pressing the key again releases the latch. The state is shown above the hotbar and in large centered messages on screen, with optional chat updates when the latch changes. Several HUD display modes can be configured, so the indicator can be kept minimal or made more prominent. Files exist for Fabric only, for 17 release versions 1.20.5 – 26.1.2, and the latest build is 1.0.4+26.1 for 26.1.2, published on 2026-06-14. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source.
