by Jokypond

Poxy is a Fabric client mod that changes how Voxy stores and loads its data on Android devices, and it requires Voxy to run.

FabricClient-side onlyGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source26.1.2 – 26.2

What it does

Poxy is a small set of mixins that make Voxy work with Minecraft launchers on Android. Voxy is the only required dependency, so it must be installed alongside Poxy. Only the client needs the mod, and a server does not have to run it. Builds are published for Fabric on 26.1.2 and 26.2, with 1.2.0 for 26.2 as the latest file, and the project is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.

Poxy sets LMDB as the storage backend Voxy uses by default once the mod is active, and it directs Voxy to load the Android build of libc.so in place of the libc.so.6 file that Linux systems running glibc use. It also adds the LWJGL ZSTD and LWJGL LMDB libraries that Voxy relies on. Players on desktop systems have no reason to install it, since the changes target the Android runtime.

Key features

  1. Mixins for Voxy on Android

Poxy patches Voxy so that its rendering and storage code run inside an Android launcher without errors.

  2. LMDB as default backend

Voxy uses LMDB for its stored data by default after Poxy is installed.

  3. Android libc selection

Voxy loads the Android libc.so library instead of the glibc file libc.so.6.

  4. Bundled native libraries

The LWJGL ZSTD and LWJGL LMDB libraries are added to the game so Voxy can read and write its data.
