Portal Extras adds Aperture Science test-chamber blocks and items to Forge 1.12.2, with or without Ichun's portal gun mod installed.
What it does
The mod brings a set of test-chamber pieces into the game: a weighted storage cube and a companion cube that can be picked up with a portal gun, a dropper that dispenses cube items, and a white panel block that accepts portals. Fizzlers remove items and some entities that pass through their area, and floor pedestal buttons are available for puzzle layouts. Blocks such as the tool break block and the tool open block restrict breaking or opening until the right tool is used, and a component checkmark block displays a marker.
Long fall boots prevent fall damage, and the features let players start a mandatory duty at an Aperture employee design test using the addon blocks. The mod works with Ichun's 1.12.2 portal gun mod as an addon, and it also works without that mod. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files are published for Forge only, for 1.12.2, with 0.3.2 as the latest file, released 2024-08-21 on the alpha channel. The code is under All rights reserved and the project is not open source.
