Networking code in Forge is what Pluto targets, through a stack optimization that aims to improve network performance.

What it does

Pluto consolidates network flushes to lower server CPU use and server tick times. The approach also reduces the impact of hardware vulnerabilities that exploit speculative execution. Micro-optimizations cut memory use and speed up packet serialization.

The mod is an unofficial fork of a Fabric networking optimization and draws on work from the Velocity and Paper projects. It works on both the client and the server, and it is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so it is not open source. Canary, Saturn and Smooth Boot (Reloaded) are optional dependencies. Forge is the only loader, with files for 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.19.3 and the latest build for 1.19.3.
