Ploton
by FLame989
Ploton, a Client and server mod by FLame989, adds gems, ingots, armour, tools, ores, blocks with movement effects, a dimension and a villager profession to Minecraft.
What it does
The mod introduces several gems and ingots: saphire and ruby gems are mined with an iron pickaxe and smelted, zynthium and brinthium ingots come from the same tier, and xelvium needs a diamond pickaxe. Bloodvium is a further gem that only drops from Blood Covered Rose blocks, which generate in the Abandoned Mansion structure. Armour and tools are crafted from these materials, with saphire armour described as better than iron and ruby armour as weaker but usable early in the game.
Several blocks change how the player moves. Saphire ore makes walking slightly faster and turns the screen with a brief flash, ruby blocks are slippery and make the player slide, xelvium ore raises jumps by three to four blocks, and zynthium blocks add a small speed and jump boost. The mod also adds a Shadow dimension, reached through a portal that is lit with an igniter, and a saphire trader villager profession. Ploton is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 9 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.10, and the code is not open source, under All rights reserved. Fall damage is a known warning for some of these blocks, so players should check their effects before exploring.
