Phantoms? Less Annoying! is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that lowers the health of phantoms so that a single hit makes them vanish.
What it does
Phantoms usually swoop at players who have not slept, and the health they keep makes them hard to finish. This mod reduces the phantom's health to half a heart, so a hit removes it quickly and the creature deals knockback when it connects. Its aim is to lessen how much phantoms interrupt play while keeping their place in the game.
Phantoms stay in the game as the same mob, so players still meet them and can still farm Phantom Membrane for other mods that use it, such as Dungeon Arise, which uses mounts from many guardians in its dungeons. The mod is built on Forge and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for 1.20.1 only, with 1.0.0 as the latest file, and the code is under the MIT License, though the project is not open source.
