ParkourEditor

by SpeedyNurBesser

ParkourEditor lets server operators place start, checkpoint and finish flags for parkour courses, with a timer for each run.

What it does

Flags are placed with commands. Each flag can be given a parkour identifier, and flags that share the same identifier are linked into one course. Identifiers must be whole numbers. A command reports the marker ID and parkour ID of the flag nearest to a player.

Non-admin players do not need operator rights to use a course: trigger commands teleport them inside a parkour. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21.4, and a data pack variant is also available. Only the server must run it, and clients may add it. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.

Key features

  1. Start, checkpoint and finish flags

Placeable flags mark the start, checkpoints and finish of a jump and run course, with a timer for each attempt.

  2. Course linking by identifier

Flags that share one integer parkour identifier are connected into a single parkour course.

  3. Uninstall function

A datapack function removes the pack from the world, so a course setup can be cleanly taken out again.

Questions

Does a player need ParkourEditor installed to play a course?

Not necessarily. The server must run the mod, while players may leave it out and still join and use courses.

How are the flags of one course connected?

Flags given the same integer parkour identifier with the end command are connected into one parkour.
