Ores and items adds new fictional ores, weapons and armor sets, with several tool and armor upgrades built from them, to Minecraft Java Edition.

What it does

Ores and items introduces a set of invented ores and materials. Players craft them into tools and armor, and the mod also includes a few secret items. Iron, diamond and netherite tools and armor each gain an upgraded version using a new material such as Lurite, Redomand or Arnite, and Iron Sarmite tools are improved with Lacrite.

Some of the new gear has special effects. Sharp instruments can cause bleeding, and certain armor sets protect a wearer from fire and lava. Hot ore is used to make new potions and stones that boost armor. Appliances and crystals round out the set for those who want more than basic equipment.

The Fabric build depends on Fabric API, which must be installed next to the mod. The Fabric version is no longer supported, so Forge and NeoForge files carry the newest builds. Either side can run the mod, and neither needs it. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Yes. Fabric API is required on Fabric. Forge and NeoForge builds do not list it as a dependency.
