Optimized Mining

Optimized Mining is a Forge utility mod that adds an enchantment for mining whole cubes of blocks in one action.
What it does
Players who dislike strip mining can use the enchantment to clear a cube of blocks in one action. When a tool with the enchantment breaks a block, every block inside a cube around it breaks too. The cube's radius grows with the enchantment level, plus one, and the enchantment can be applied up to level 5. Broken blocks vanish at once without particles or sound, and their drops appear where the original block stood. Each broken block costs the tool one point of durability.
The enchantment works only on tools that normally harvest the block in question, so pickaxes, axes and shovels act on their usual materials and bedrock stays out of reach. Area breaking is triggered by normal block breaking, not by a separate command or key. The mod is server-side only, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. Installation needs Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2, the only game version with files, and the latest Forge file is 1.0.0, published on 2026-04-03.
