Open Please
by quark19
Open Please makes doors, trapdoors and fence gates open and close on their own when a player walks up to them, and it can also be toggled off.
What it does
Doors, trapdoors and fence gates open when a player approaches and close again behind them, so players do not need to press use on each one. Pressure plates and redstone signals are still handled as usual, and the mod supports the variants of these blocks found in the game.
Auto-opening can be switched off in the mod settings for players who prefer the vanilla behavior. The mod's configuration is opened from the Mod Menu screen, where its options are grouped together. The settings screen is built with Cloth Config API, so both of those mods must be installed.
The environment is server-side only: the server runs the mod and players can join without installing it, and clients do not need it to see the doors work. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with Fabric API needed on Fabric builds. Builds cover game versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.10, with 1.2.0 for Forge and NeoForge and 2.1.1 for Fabric as the latest files. The code is open source under the MIT License.
