OldFashionedLimits
by JustHuman228
OldFashionedLimits returns the world height limits used before Minecraft 1.17 to servers that want the older build range.
What it does
The mod is a data pack and a mod that restore the pre-1.17 height limits, including the 256-block build ceiling and the absence of negative height, for servers that prefer the older layout. Only the server needs it, so players can join without installing anything. Files are available for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus a data pack variant, across 14 release versions, under the MIT License, and the project is open source.
Key features
Old build ceiling
Restores the 256-block maximum build height that applied before the 1.17 height changes.
No negative height
Removes the negative height range so the world stops below the level that later versions introduced.
Data pack option
A data pack edition applies the same rollback on servers that cannot install a mod.
