NextBot PinHead
NextBot PinHead adds a single nextbot to Minecraft that spawns at a random spot on the map and pursues the player with different behaviors, making the world scarier.
What it does
Only one nextbot exists in the mod, and PinHead spawns immediately at a random location on the map when the world loads. Its behavior depends on the selected mode: the default mode has it enter a stalking phase where it moves slowly toward the player's location, while a classic aggressive pursuit mode sends it straight at the player. A further mode is designed so that breaking line of sight resets the encounter.
The stalking phase plays an ambient sound that grows louder as PinHead gets closer, building auditory tension even when the creature is not visible. Before any direct encounter, the map is given a stretch of time in which the player can settle into its unnerving mood.
The mod is built for Forge and runs on 1.20.1 only. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. It is released under the Apache License 2.0 and is not open source. Its public issue tracker is the only linked place for reporting problems.
Key features
Single nextbot
One nextbot, PinHead, is spawned at a random spot on the map, so each world starts with the same creature in a new place.
Selectable behavior modes
The default mode uses stalking, while the classic mode sends PinHead straight at the player and a third mode resets the encounter when line of sight is broken.
Stalking phase
PinHead slowly approaches the player's location, and the ambient sound grows louder as it gets closer, even when it is unseen.
Atmosphere-focused pacing
The stalking phase is meant to give the player time to take in the creepy atmosphere of the map before a confrontation.

Players who want a scarier survival world can add PinHead to an existing save and let the stalking phase build tension while they explore.
Who it’s for: Players who want a single recurring horror creature in Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge, and server owners who want the same encounter on multiplayer servers. Both the server and each player need the mod installed.
