Neko's Memory Warning
by neko37
Neko's Memory Warning shows a warning when the Java memory allocated to Minecraft falls outside a range set in its configuration, aimed at modpack developers.
What it does
The mod checks the memory available to the game and displays a warning when the amount is below a minimum or above a maximum that the modpack author defines. The minimum and maximum values, a recommended value, and the title and message text for each case are all set in the configuration file. Its options also limit how long titles and messages may be.
Warnings can appear as a system dialogue, which is useful when the game window is not in focus, or as a message sent to server operators when a player joins. Each warning can be turned off separately. The mod was tested on Linux and Windows 11, while the system pop-up is expected not to work on macOS.
Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 1.0.3 for 1.21.1 as the latest file. The mod runs on the client or on the server, and neither side needs it. The source code and issue tracker are public, but the mod is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
